The flat top round crown is surrounded bu a wide brim that is covered in a gorgeous emerald green bottom, and edging on the top. There is a bouquet of tiny cream and green flowers on the front, plus a cream colored curly feather. There is also a darker creak strip of veiling around the crown tied at the back, then streams down. Amazing look! Throughout the 1950s, ladies wore hats daily as a part of their attire as was a pair of gloves. Post war 1940’s and 1950’s saw many women choosing not to wear hats on a regular basis. To preserve its market, the millinery industry set about creating variety and extravagance.
